Commercial Pizza Oven FAQ
What makes a pizza oven "commercial grade" rather than domestic?
Commercial pizza ovens are built with thicker insulation and larger cooking chambers, designed to hold temperature through hours of continuous use rather than cooling down between sessions. They're built to produce consistent results pizza after pizza, which matters far more for a business than for occasional home cooking.
Can I use a commercial pizza oven in a food truck or trailer conversion?
Many of our customers do exactly this, fitting one of our commercial Igneus or Clementi ovens into a converted trailer or horse box as part of a mobile pizza business. These are general-purpose commercial ovens rather than units pre-built for mobile installation, so it's worth talking to us before ordering about weight, ventilation, and clearance for your specific build.
How many pizzas can a commercial pizza oven cook at once?
This varies by model — the Igneus Pro 600 and Pro 750 typically handle two to four pizzas depending on size, while our largest Clementi 100×80 ovens can cook up to five 12" pizzas at once. The Ceramiko Pro 1000 and 1200 are built for the highest sustained volume in our range.
Do I need planning permission or special certification to run a commercial pizza oven business?
This depends on where and how you're operating — a fixed restaurant installation, a food truck, and a trailer conversion all have different requirements around gas safety, ventilation, and local council registration. We'd recommend checking with your local authority and, if using gas, a Gas Safe registered engineer before starting a commercial setup.
Do your commercial pizza ovens come with free UK delivery?
Yes — free UK delivery applies to orders over £300. Given the size and weight of commercial models, delivery may take a little longer than our standard range; we'll confirm timing when you order.
Can I use a pizza oven for anything other than pizza?
Yes — most pizza ovens, including the full Igneus range, are genuinely versatile. Once up to temperature, they're well suited to roasting meat and vegetables, baking bread, and grilling, not just cooking pizza.
