Igneus FAQ
How long does an Igneus oven take to heat up?
Most Igneus models reach 400°C in around 15 minutes from lighting, considerably faster than many wood fired ovens manage. Once up to temperature, a stone-baked pizza typically cooks in 60 to 90 seconds.
What's the difference between the Classico and the Pro range?
The Classico is Igneus's most popular domestic model, compact and versatile, suited to regular home use. The Pro 600 and Pro 750 step up with commercial-grade insulation and a larger cooking chamber for higher-volume use, while the Ceramiko Pro 1000 and 1200 are built specifically for genuine commercial kitchens.
Can I cook anything other than pizza in an Igneus oven?
Yes — once up to temperature, Igneus ovens are well suited to slow roasting joints of meat, baking bread, and grilling vegetables, not just cooking pizza. Many customers use the Cast Iron Tuscan Grill or Pan Set to take advantage of this versatility.
Why are Igneus ovens handmade in Portugal rather than mass-produced?
Handcrafting allows for more consistent build quality and heat retention than a mass-production line typically achieves, which shows in both the fast heat-up time and how evenly these ovens cook over a long session.
