Coal & Company started from a simple place. We wanted to build something of our own that felt honest, useful, and worth standing behind.
Like most people, we’d spent years working in other businesses, learning how things are done and, just as importantly, noticing where they often fall short. We knew that if we were going to do this, it had to reflect how we actually live and what we care about.
Fire has always been part of that. Cooking outside. Standing around warmth as the evening stretches on. Those moments where nobody’s rushing, phones are down, and food becomes the excuse to stay a little longer. Coal & Company exists to support those moments — not to dress them up, just to make them easier to come by.

We don’t have every product in front of us all the time, but we do take care with what we put on the site.
We look at how brands approach outdoor use, how clear they are about materials and specifications, and how they support customers once a product is out there being used. We spend time reading the details, asking questions, and getting a feel for how a product is meant to fit into everyday outdoor life.
If there are things worth knowing before you buy, we’ll be open about them. Our aim is simply to help you choose something that feels right for your space and how you plan to use it, rather than pushing you towards something that isn’t a good fit.

Things go wrong sometimes. Products can arrive damaged. Parts wear out. Questions come up after the sale. We don’t pretend otherwise.
What you can expect from us is to stay involved. If you need help, you’ll speak to someone who knows the products and actually wants to sort the issue, not pass it on. We’ll be straight with you, keep you informed, and do what we say we’re going to do.
Coal & Company is built for the long term. That means clear answers, fair expectations, and support that doesn’t disappear once you’ve checked out. We want you to feel comfortable buying from us the first time — and confident coming back when you’re ready to add to your setup.
